Ammonium paratungstate (APT) has completed import customs clearance and is now ready for shipment.
On February 4, 2025, the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China (MOFCOM) designated tungsten as a strategic mineral and implemented export restrictions. The restricted items include ammonium paratungstate, blue tungsten oxide, violet tungsten oxide, yellow tungsten oxide, and tungsten carbide. Importing these materials requires a rigorous review of relevant documents, including end-user information and end-use certificates, before obtaining an export permit.
While the document review process was typically expected to take approximately 45 days, it actually took approximately four months. After submitting the documents in April, export approval was received in early August, and imports were completed at the end of August. Limited quantities are currently available, so interested companies are encouraged to contact us promptly.
Additionally, companies requiring the export-regulated items listed above are advised to place orders well in advance, considering the lengthy export licensing process. Please also note that imports of items not subject to export licensing are taking longer than usual, and international prices are continually rising.
